Compass was designed exclusively for Delvis (Un)Limited, the Milan-based collectible design gallery, as a limited series of thirty.
A wall sconce of deliberate economy — five centimetres wide, seventy-five tall — its brass profiles are calibrated to produce projections of striking chromatic complexity from a pair of single-colour LEDs. The colours are not filtered; they are the product of optics: the behaviour of light as it reflects repeatedly within the polished interior walls before being cast outward as a multi-directional painting.
Compass extends the Tetra collection's investigation into crystallographic geometry, translating the invisible order of natural minerals into a luminous and permanently collectible object.
